The three ways to win a sector in Dominion Earth
A scenario in Dominion Earth states its victory condition before you launch, and it is not decoration: it changes which hulls matter, where the fighting happens, and whether killing things is the point at all.

Ship Eradication — a brawl
First side to a kill total. No ground game, no structures worth the detour, just sixteen ships in one sector. The light and mid hulls come into their own because speed and turn rate decide who lives. This is the mode to learn to shoot in, and the one that resolves fastest.
Base Annihilation — strike runs
Destroy the enemy's starbases. Bases are defended by satellites that track and shoot back, so a strike is always taken under fire — which is why the heavy hull exists. Fighters matter here as escorts: a strike ship that has to break off to dogfight is a strike ship that never delivers.
Total Occupation — the long game
Hold planets. Every planet is nine ground sectors, taken one at a time by landing warriors, so this is the mode where carriers decide the match and everyone else is either protecting one or hunting one. Expect it to take longer than the others and to swing more than once.
Campaign slices — a moving front
Secure a slice and the front line advances. The campaign maps carry state between matches, so what happened last time is where you start this time.
Which to play first
| If you want | Play | Bring |
|---|---|---|
| To learn to fly and shoot | Ship Eradication | The lightest hull |
| Something to aim at | Base Annihilation | The heavy |
| A game of position | Total Occupation | A carrier, and an escort |
| Consequences that persist | Campaign | Whatever the slice needs |
AI or humans only
Every scenario runs in both. An AI sector fills the empty seats with bots and gives you a wing to command; a humans-only sector is quiet until someone else launches. Both are listed with their current population, so you always know which is which before you commit.
